Read To A Class

VIPS Reading Day comes every fall!  Check with your teacher or Room Parent for details and to volunteer.

Cafeteria Volunteers

Volunteer family members of Forest Park students are a big help at lunchtime.  We welcome you to sign up at the link below for this fun task that's appreciated by kids and teachers alike!

(Note: Kindergarten and Pre-K parents, we request you wait until school has been in session for two weeks before joining your child for lunch. Families with older children fill these rolls the first two weeks of school for PreK and K lunches.)

Help Take Care of Our Chickens!

We need VOLUNTEERS who LOVE CHICKENS.  You'll love taking care of Oreo, Captain Peep and Ginger – our very own Forest Park Chickens! We will have 2-week shifts this year so that more families can participate.  You just have to make sure the chickens have food and water, keep the pen clean-ish and take home any eggs they lay.  Click below to sign up.  You will be happy you did!

Join the Ranger Watch

Ranger Watch gives family members a chance to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security.  Activities may include playing at recess, reading a book to students, watching school entrances and hallways, eating lunch with the students, assisting with traffic flow during drop off or pick up.  The students LOVE having family and friends on campus, and we can promise your child or grandchild with be THRILLED to have you at school helping out, too!

Tutor A Student

For more information, or to sign up as a tutor, send an email to Morgan Smith at the address below.

Help with Carpool

Please email pta@forestparklr.com to help with carpool before and after school.

Help Our Garden Grow

There are countless ways to volunteer for Forest Park Roots, our Outdoor Learning Center.  To inquire, please contact Kristin Taylor by emailing her at the link below.

Give Your Outgrown Uniforms

Forest Park's Pass the Plaid program is another way our school participates in the recycle, reuse, repurpose "Go Green" campaign.  By having families donate their children's outgrown uniforms, the PTA resells these items at a greatly reduced rate than retail pricing, all the while making significant income for the PTA.  The Pass the Plaid shop carries everything from plaid jumpers and skirt, to sweatshirts, fleeces and logo polo shirts.

If your Ranger is ready to pass along some uniforms and spirit shirts to the next class of students, please contact Mary Margaret Wippo at the link below, and bring your contributions in to school!
