    Accelerated Reader

    Accelerated Reader is a program operated by Renaissance Learning, and funded by Forest Park's PTA, that aims to motivate and inspire reading in students. Students have the opportunity to participate starting in Kindergarten, and all students 2nd through 5th take part.

    After School Care at Forest Park

    CARE payments can now be made online.

    The CARE Program:
    - Provides a safe environment
    - Offers creative and recreational activities
    - Helps children feel good about themselves
    - Encourages growth in relationships and social skills
    - Provides time for homework and outdoor play

    Pick up registration forms in August at
    The CARE Office at 4800 West 26th Street
    Student Registration Office at 5th and Sherman Streets

    Payments can be made in person or by mail to the CARE Office, or online (with a fee) by visiting www.lrsd.org, and clicking on "Student Activity Payment" at the bottom of the page.

  • Carpool Instructions

    REMINDER: Do not use mobile devices while driving in the school zone.
    Look for One-Way signs circling the school. Refer to our Traffic Flow Guidelines in the Document below to plan your route to and from pick-up and drop-off areas.

    Grades and Attendance

    How to use the Home Access Center:
    Home Access Center (HAC) is a web-based tool that allows parents/guardians to monitor your child's attendance, schedule, grades, and classwork. This includes access to interim progress and report cards.

    Parents seeking to use the HAC will need the login information they received in the mail from LRSD. For assistance with your login information, you may contact Forest Park's secretary, Robin Holmes.

    School day begins: 7:50 a.m.

    Final Bell: 2:35 p.m.

    Care students must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.

  • Uniform Policy

    At Forest Park Elementary School, we take pride in the appearance of our students! Research has shown that school uniforms have a positive impact on student performance and conduct. Their attitude toward academic achievement is directly enhanced.

    Clothing is available from Forest Park's Pass the Plaid shop or from the partner vendors listed in the Document below.
