Art in the Park
Tonight, Friday, Feb. 22: Don't miss Forest Park's "Art in the Park" fundraiser!
Our PTA hosts this event every other year, as a traditional fundraiser with a live and silent auction. The silent auction will be online only. Each classroom's students have proudly created a piece of art to be auctioned off. The ticket price includes food and drinks. It is a very casual and fun party with a live band. And by casual, we mean like jeans and a sweater...truly casual and down to earth, just like our school!
This event raises money for the PTA to continue paying for the Spanish teacher (the PTA fully funds this program, it is an $18,000 commitment), the ROOTS Outdoor Garden Center and Garden Educator (we pay a teacher to organize learning in the garden that parallels what they're learning in the classroom), Field Day, and many other programs. Whatever we raise TODAY will hopefully be enough to enable us to pay for improvements around the school at the end of the year. Our PTA does a LOT and we depend on our fundraising to continue to be able to help on this level.
